The cytostatic drug bendamustine is a nitrogen-lost derivative from the series of alkylating substances. The substance alkylates RNA, DNA and proteins and renders them useless for cell metabolism. Multiple DNA cross-linkings (cross-linking) and cleavage of DNA chains occur. This impedes replication and cell division. Bendamustine has a non-specific effect on cell cycle phases.
Bendamustine hydrochloride monohydrate
Bendamustin medac is an alkylating substance containing the active substance bendamustine hydrochloride. The alkalising effect of bendamustine hydrochloride is essentially based on the cross-linking of DNA single and double strands, which impairs the synthesis and repair of DNA.
